Who took my map?

Wouldn't life be perfect if it came with a manual? A map of perfectly laid plans that you could consult to tell you the best decisions to make to get you to a desired result. My head (and stomach) actually hurt today from thinking too much. It is physically tiring being me. Sometimes I would like to switch places with some airhead who goes through life oblivious to the things about this world that seem to trouble me so. How I envy those airheads! Or even those who may have a little more going on up top but have some how tapped in to a peace that still evades me.

Some new people have moved in across the pool.  I have come to this conclusion after witnessing a very brightly lit dwelling where there was once just blackness.  It is kind of disturbing because this intrusive beaming is now drawing my eye upward instead of on what I intended to gaze upon...the much more peaceful light of the pool.  Where we live is less than half occupied, and I like it this way.  I was hoping that it could stay this way for much longer for reasons such as this unwelcome disturbance.  I can't imagine what it would be like if all the units across from us were filled with as much light as this intruder's.  It will definitely detract from the beauty and appeal of this place.  Maybe that is a good thing.  Our initial thought in moving here and signing the shortest lease possible was to get into a house and start our little normal family life over again in a place that is befitting family life.  A place with plenty of space for our son to have friends sleep over and the baby to roam free.  But, since we have gotten here and discovered how nice it is, I think our plans have been slowly shifting to a more extended stay.   This is where the map/manual would prove extremely useful.  Showing us exactly the decisions to make to make life wonderful. La la la la la la la......
